Ojibwe women business leaders are imperative in advancing the economies of tribal nations. From a historical reflection to contemporary times, Ojibwe women have always held together their families and nations and engaged in commerce. Business ventures are viewed as a responsibility to support the greater community, while maintaining cultural integrity. The purpose of this proposed Indigenous research study is to analyze Ojibwe women in business leadership roles and provide an appreciative inquiry into their approaches that contribute to improved economies, nations, and lives. My primary interest is in developing a framework to further advance economic opportunities within Ojibwe nations.
